Ode to David

Upon a pedestal of marble fair,

In Florence’s heart, where art breathes life anew,

Stands David, chiseled form beyond compare,

A masterpiece that time cannot undo.

In stone, he bears the weight of history,

A symbol of strength and of beauty rare,

Yet in a classroom, controversy’s spree,

A principal ousted, burdened by despair.

Oh, Florida! Where wisdom finds its foe,

For showing David’s visage to the young,

In ignorance, the seeds of discord sow,

The hallowed halls where education’s sung.

Let David stand, though challenged be his sight,

In art’s embrace, we find eternal light.

I believe the world is not just a place to exist but a playground to explore, a canvas to create upon, and a tapestry to weave my dreams into reality.
