Sonnet for Puerto Rico: A Sultry Serenade

Oh Puerto Rico! land of passion’s flame
Where sultry breezes kiss the ocean’s shore,
In El Yunque, where waterfalls proclaim
their love in whispers, cascading evermore.

In La Placita, where the music sway,
beneath the stars, we dance with hearts alight,
to rhythms , our bodies move and obey,
in the embrace of Caribbean night.

But sweeter still, the taste of Mofongo,
a culinary delight that tempts the tongue,
as waves caress the sands of beaches bongo,
and reggaeton’s seductive beats are sung.

In Viejo San Juan, where bars ignite,
We drink and revel ‘neath the tropic sky,
Puerto Rico, thy allure doth excite,
A paradise where love shall never die.

I believe the world is not just a place to exist but a playground to explore, a canvas to create upon, and a tapestry to weave my dreams into reality.
